Wanda Asper-McMahan
Wanda Asper-McMahan was born to Luther and Velma Wakefield on May 21, 1923, in Chattanooga, OK. She died on March 22, 2022 at the Glenhaven Retirement Village in Chickasha at the age of 98. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 28, 2022, at 1:00pm in the McRay Funeral Home Chapel in Chickasha, Oklahoma.
Wanda graduated from the Chickasha High School in 1943. Wanda married Bill Asper on February 19, 1945, in Avon Park, Florida when Bill was stationed at Seabring Air Corp Airbase. She attended OCW and graduated with her teaching degree. She taught the 4th grade at West Elementary School in Chickasha for 5 years. Bill and Wanda moved to Colorado in 1965 where Wanda taught 5th grade at Tennyson Knolls Elementary School for 22 years. They attended the Bear Valley Church of Christ in Denver, Colorado. They returned to Chickasha in 1987 and attended the Southern Oaks Church of Christ.
Wanda was preceded in death by her husband Bill Asper on February 14, 1995. She later married Elwood McMahan, who preceded her in death on February 3, 2019. Wanda was also preceded in death by her parents, and sister Hazel.
Wanda is survived by her daughter Karen Johnson, and her husband Harvey of Chickasha, and her son Scott Asper, and his wife Thelma of Chickasha. She is survived by 6 grandchildren: Dan Carpenter, Mike Carpenter, Tyler Herring, Will Asper, Jennifer Asper and Suzanne Sable. Wanda has 8 great-grandchildren. Wanda so loved being “grandma” to Elwood’s grandchildren.

Arnold Nightingale
Arnold Nightingale, 81, Ninnekah, OK, was born May 23, 1940. He died March 13, 2022. Graveside service will be at 11:00am, Wednesday, March 16, 2022 in the Plainview Mennonite Cemetery. Arrangements are with McRay Funeral Home.
Jean Lore Hendricks
Jean Hendricks, age 81, of Chickasha, died March 12, 2022. She was born August 29, 1945. Private services will be held. Cremation arrangements are with McRay Funeral Home.
Barbara G. Sanders
Barbara G. Sanders left this earth to be with her heavenly Father on March 11, 2022. She was born the daughter of Harold F. and Blythe M. Neal Basham at home in Chickasha, Oklahoma on January 24, 1943, weighing 10 ½ pounds.
Barbara lived in Chickasha for many years. She worked as a home health care provider. She was a member of Full Gospel Church. She moved to Duncan, Oklahoma to be closer to family in 2010. She lived at Duncan Plaza for several years and made many friends there. She attended Grace Baptist Church. Barbara loved people. She very seldom met a stranger.
Barbara is survived by her sister Janet Copp, daughter and husband Terri and Gary Laurens, along with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Family that preceded her in death include her mother Blythe M. Neal Basham, father Harold F. Basham, brother Harold R. Basham, daughter Brenda Edwards, son Shane Sanders and grandsons.
Private interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of McRay Funeral Home.
Nobles Which
A Celebration of Life for Nobue Uechi (Nobles Which) 81, of Jenks, Ok. formerly Chickasha, Ok will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday March 12, 2022 at McRay Funeral Home in Chickasha. Interment will be at Fairlawn Cemetery.
Nobue was born Jan. 17, 1941 in Davao City, Philippines to Ankei and Nae Uechi. She passed away March 7th, 2022 in Jenks, OK surrounded by her family.
She came to the United States from Okinawa in 1965 where she raised 5 children as a single parent. She was very active in her Church and Community, making a positive difference in the lives that she touched. She was completely devoted to her children and faced many adversities with a smile and a determination to succeed.
She is preceded in death by her parents Ankei and Nae Uechi, 2 siblings and a grandchild.
She is survived by her daughter Hidemi Seishin Stewart of Arlington, TX; Son Takao (Tommy) and Monica Stewart of Jenks, OK; Son Harold F. Stewart of Tacoma, WA; Daughter Kimberly Menasco of Moore, OK and Son Kevin Stewart of Moore, OK. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
