KELLEY GAIL ELSTON
11/21/60 – 6/27/24
Kelley Gail Elston entered this world on 21 November 1960 and departed it on 27 June 2024 after a short, but brave, battle with cancer.
Kelley was the daughter of Jerry Elston and Floye (Mitchell) Patton. She was born and raised in Chickasha, Oklahoma, and graduated from Chickasha High School in 1979. Kelley left Chickasha in the mid-80s and spent the next 40 years living in Texas, Washington State, then Nevada before returning to Chickasha in 2023. She enjoyed a long career in the transportation industry where she was recognized as an expert in her field. Kelley’s three cats, Leo, Lexi, and Lincoln, brought her great joy and received and gave unconditional love.
Kelley was preceded in death by her parents, Jerry and Floye, and will be dearly missed by those she leaves behind. She is survived by her sisters, Lynne (Mitch) Coppedge, Tamara Elston, and Dixie Elston of Chickasha and Christy (Rocky) Red Elk of Lawton. She loved and was loved by her four nieces, Erin (Russell) Thompson, Brittany Williams, Allison (Derek) Cofer, and Shelby (Zack) Graves. Her great niece, Kadence Thompson, and two great nephews, Cooper Cofer and Ellis Thompson, lit up her life. Kelley is also survived by her stepmother, Mary (Flo) Elston of Perkins and her stepsister, Claudette (Ron) Hixon of Cushing.
Thank you to McRay Funeral Home for taking Kelley for us. She did not wish to have a formal funeral service. She will be cremated and laid to rest next to her mother at Fairlawn Cemetery at a future date. Rest in peace, dear Kelley; until we meet again.
