Joan Adams Sehon

Joan Adams was born in Stillwater, Oklahoma on July 25, 1932 and became part of the First Family of OSU.  She was the second daughter of Arthur Adams and Muriel Adams.  She had an older sister Francis, a younger sister Nina and a younger brother Walter.

She graduated from Stillwater High School in 1949 after only three years.  During this time she met Ernest E Sehon.  He was back from the war and going to school at Oklahoma A&M on the GI Bill. They were married on August 6, 1949.

Joan and Ernie moved to Chickasha in 1950 where their sons Dwight and Dwain were born. Ernest started his accounting business in 1957 and Joan went to work for Public Service Company at the same time.  In 1960 she became the Office Manager for Ernest and remained on the job until 2017 when she retired.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father; her husband Ernest; her sister Francis and her daughter-in-law Deborah.

She is survived by her sister Nina and her husband Miller; brother Walter and his wife Diane; sister-in-law Rosie; son Dwight and son Dwain and his wife Cheryl.  She is also survived by her grandchildren Summer Lashley and her husband Andy, Maresa Wade and her husband Jeff, Chris Todd and his wife Kara; and great-grandchildren Mia, Bode, Weston, Shepard and Jacob.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church for over sixty years.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm, Friday, April 15, 2022 in the Fairlawn Cemetery. There will be no viewing. Service is under the direction of McRay Funeral Home.

Geary Ray Green

Graveside service for Geary Ray Green of Chickasha will be held at 10am on Thursday, April 7, 2022, in the Fairlawn Cemetery.  Father John Salem will officiate.

Geary Ray Green fell asleep in the Lord on Saturday, April 2, 2022, at 80 years of age.  He was born in Los Angeles, California on June 24, 1941 to Frank Jr. and Lorene Green.  Geary lived a long and loving life with his family; wife Clara, daughters Lorri Windom and husband Bruce, Kerri Green and Steve McKewin, and son Austin Green and wife Tracy. His family was the most important part of his life and his love of God. He married his love, Clara Hodges and they were married for 61 years.  They raised their family in New Mexico, Wisconsin, Iowa, Texas and Oklahoma.  Geary was a graduate of Dibble High School and went on to earn his Bachelor of Animal Science from Oklahoma State University and master's degree in Animal Nutrition from New Mexico State University.  He spent his career working in the animal science industry and retired from the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture as an Environmental Inspector after 32 years of service. Lovingly referred to as GRG by his children, he was committed to his 3 children, and granddad to his 7 grandchildren Lexi White (Bryce), Landon Thomas (Kellie), Chance Green (Paige), Ashtin Browning (Austin), Easton Green, Reese McKewin, and Jake McKewin, and great granddad to his 5 great grandchildren Landri White, Brooks White, Blakely Green, Raider Green, and Annabelle Thomas, and big brother to his 2 sisters, Carolyn Sue Graves and Debra Ann Rogers (Troy), and uncle to several nieces and nephews. He also had a love of his horses and enjoyed caring for them. He was a member of the St. Elijah Orthodox Christian Church in Oklahoma City.

Viewing will be Tuesday and Wednesday from 9am-7pm.  On Wednesday, the family will be at the funeral home to receive friends from 5pm-7pm.
