Shiela Garvin Cain

Memorial service for Shiela Garvin Cain will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 in the McRay Funeral Home Chapel.  Dr. Bryan Haynes will officiate.

Shiela Garvin Cain passed peacefully on Thursday, December 15th, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Shiela was born and raised in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to James and Pat Garvin on May 21st, 1953. Shiela was the youngest of James and Pat's children and had a natural artistic ability from a very young age. After graduating in 1971 from Western Heights High School she moved to Hawaii. She returned to Oklahoma City and quickly moved on to her next adventure in Rada Tilly, Argentina. She returned to Oklahoma and packed up her car for San Diego, California. A few short years later, she returned to her home base in Oklahoma. She realized that she was ready for her next chapter in life and moved to Oak Harbor, Washington where she lived for the next 16 years until again returning to Oklahoma City with her daughter. Shiela made Oklahoma City her final home in 2000.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Dianne McCall and her mother, Pat Garvin. Shiela leaves behind  a loving daughter, Laura Martell, who she said was her greatest accomplishment, a son in law, Tom Connelly, who she adored and one granddaughter, Lily Jones, Sheila's father, James Garvin, brother, James "Duane" Garvin and wife, Carol Garvin, along with nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. Shiela also leaves behind her beloved Rottweiler, Boris.

While Shiela is no longer of this earth, her legacy lives on in her surviving family and art. She was an accomplished wildlife artist who enjoyed painting and all forms of art and crafting. She also loved photography, gardening, spending time with her family and attending horse shows, art events and spending time with her dog. She was the best daughter, mother and friend anyone could ask for. Now at peace and with her sister and mother, she will be missed.



Robert Melvin Sims

Funeral service for Robert M. Sims, age 76 of Ninnekah will be held at 10:30am on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at the First Baptist Church of Ninnekah.  Pastor Curtis Townley will officiate.

Robert Melvin Sims was born to Etta Arlene Biesecker Sims and Melvin Saul Sims on April 4, 1946.  He married Olena Gail Sims on November 27, 1970.  They recently celebrated their 52nd anniversary.  He served in the Air Force for a short period of time and retired from Tinker Air Force Base as a civilian airplane mechanic.  

He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant sister; sisters Betty Owen and Wilma Fournier; brother Frank Sims and his in-laws W.T. and Pauline Dean.

He is survived by his wife Gail; his sons Jimmy Sims, Billy Sims, Tony Sims and Jaden Sims; daughter Doshua Sims; his siblings Delores Kennedy, Mary Knoftz, John Sims and a host of friends.

Interment will be in the Ninnekah Cemetery.  Services are under the direction of McRay Funeral Home.



Karry Dawn French

Karry Dawn French was born on July 31, 1966 to the late William and Betty French, in Anadarko, Oklahoma.  She passed away on December 6, 2022 in Oklahoma City, surrounded by her loved ones. Services under the direction of McRay Funeral Home will be Saturday, December 10, 2022 at First Baptist Church of Verden at 1 pm.  Interment to follow at Cache Creek' KCA Cemetery in Apache. 

Karry was blessed to spend 13 years with the love of her life Johnny Smith.  She had one of the most contagious and amazing laughs. She was a kind hearted friend to everyone.  Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.  Her grandchildren were the light of her life. 
      
Karry is survived by her children Kristopher French, Melissa French, Patrick French, and Tyler French;  15 grandchildren, Breanna French, AJ French, Mathew French, Kyndall French, Davion Anderson, Kaloni Anderson, Ja’Kore Anderson, Kristopher French Jr., Nicole French, Ariana French, Legna French, Joe Serman Jr., Journey Serman, and Anastasia Serman; sister Margie French; brothers Donnie French, Jeremy French, Richard French and many nieces and nephews.
   
She was preceded in death by both parents; husband Johnny Smith; sisters Jennifer Komardley, Mary French, Gail French, and Jeanne Mosley; niece Jamie French; brother William French Jr.;  and Grandson Andrew French.  



Ollie Juanita Snider

Funeral service for Ollie Juanita Snider will be held at 1:30pm on Monday, December 12, 2022 at the Tri-City Worship Center in Newcastle, OK with Pastor Chilles Hutchinson officiating.  There will be viewing on Sunday, December 11, 2022 from 2:00pm to 7:00pm at McRay Funeral Home in Chickasha, OK.

Ollie Juanita Snider (Ryans) was born July 2, 1933 to Richard Ryans and Ollie Grace (Cornell) Ryans in Cement, OK.  Juanita passed away Sunday, December 4, 2022 at her home in Blanchard, OK at the age of 89.  Juanita married the love of her life, Art Snider, on June 21, 1952 in Lawton, OK.  Art preceded her in death on May 3, 2017.

She enjoyed gardening and working in her flower beds.  She loved to cook and spend time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, but most of all she loved to spend time with her Lord and Savior.  Juanita and Art moved to many small towns around the Lawton area, but they always located a church right away so they could worship and be in the presence of the Lord.

Survivors include Donna Dutton and husband Fred of Blanchard, OK; Buddy Snider and wife Dianne of Boaz, AL; Terry Snider and wife Linda of Apache, OK; Dale Eads of Del City, OK. Six grandchildren Staci Bernal and husband David of Moore, OK; Brian Adams and wife Christina of Blanchard, OK; Misty Cannon and husband Chuck of Norman, OK; Amy McDaniel and husband Heath of Boaz, AL; Jasma Snider of Woodward, OK; Zac Eads of Oklahoma City, OK; 12 great-grandchildren Trey; Faith; Joseph; Brilynne; Emma; Emily; Tayler; Noah; Raylynn; Henson; Shasta; and Jagger.  Juanita has one brother Alvin Ryans of Rush Springs, OK and one sister Lorine Sousa of Stockton, CA as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Richard and Ollie Ryans; her husband Art Snider; two daughters Sharon Ratliff and Kathy Eads; two grandchildren David Flagger and Mikey Flagger; six brothers and two sisters.

Interment will be in the Celestial Gardens Cemetery in Cyryil, OK.
