Sandra Ann Travis

Sandy Travis (53) of Chickasha, OK went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, OK. A Victory Celebration remembering Sandy will be at Bible Baptist Church, Chickasha, OK at 10:00 AM Thursday, September 23, 2021 with Sandy’s pastor officiating. Graveside services will be Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Burkburnett Cemetery in Burkburnett, TX.

Sandra Ann Travis was born on August 2, 1968 in Denison, Texas, to Joe and Helen Kauffman. Sandy was a 1986 graduate of Burkburnett High School. She was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Chickasha, OK where she served faithfully. Sandy sang in the praise band, worked with Awanas, and taught Sunday school. Sandy loved to cook, work in her garden, and spend time with her adorable grand-daughters. She volunteered at Life Choices in Chickasha, and worked at Ace Hardware for the past 2 years.

Sandy remains in the hearts of her husband Wayne Travis of 10 years, daughter Kaley and husband Peyton Presgrove of Duncan, OK; son, Ryan Neal of Oklahoma City, OK, son, Matthew and wife, Lauren Travis of Tulsa, OK, son, Michael and wife, Christa Travis of Moore, OK, son, Jon Travis of Chickasha, OK; daughter, Renee Travis of Chickasha, OK; granddaughters, Ellie and Ruby Presgrove, Victoria, Audrey, and Charlotte Travis and Charles Travis on the way. Others who hold Sandy dear are her mother and father Helen and Joe Kauffman, Wichita Falls, TX; sister, Tammy and husband Scott Shanders, McDonough, GA; brother, Danny and wife, Dawn Kauffman, Sachse, TX; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Flowers may be sent to Bible Baptist Church - 226 South 29th Street, Chickasha, OK.

Susan Leigh Daugherty

Susan Leigh Daugherty died peacefully into our Heavenly Father’s embrace on September 4th, 2021 at the age of 68.

 Susan was born on August 26th, 1953 to Don and Amy Lohner at Grady Memorial Hospital in Chickasha, OK.  She graduated in 1971 from Alex High School.  She met Bill Daugherty of Chickasha, OK and they were married on November 12th, 1971.

Susan and Bill started their family in 1973 and raised their two sons, Travis and Chad, to make a home in Chickasha, OK.  While creating a home and helping to raise her boys, Susan courageously went to college and graduated with honors at the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma.   Susan used her degree to become a teacher in the Chickasha Public School system where she taught, cared and mentored for over 25 years before retiring in 2012 to spend more time with her husband, kids and grandkids.  For the last 50 years, Susan and Bill have been members at College Heights Baptist Church.  Susan spent most of those 50 years showing the love of Jesus to children in roles as teacher and director of Sunday School activities.

Susan was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Ann McKenzie.  She is survived by her husband Bill Daugherty, son Travis Daugherty and his wife Carrie along with two grandsons Tanner and Ethan, son Chad Daugherty  along with three granddaughters Calleigh-Lynn, Colbie Rae and Cassidee Marie.  In addition, she was survived by sisters Donna Lohner, Janet Bowman, Nan Weller and brother Timothy Lohner, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

Teaching was a passion of Susan’s as evident by the many children’s lives she touched in school and church.  Her true love was for her Lord Jesus Christ and her faithfulness made a great impression on all that knew her or even just met her.  Susan loved her family unconditionally.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and playing board games into the wee hours of the night.

Visiting hours will be held Thursday and Friday (September 9th & 10th) from 9 am to 7 pm at McRay Funeral Home, 110 S. 8th St, Chickasha.  Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, September 11th 2021 at College Heights Baptist Church, 1202 W. Grand Ave, Chickasha.  Interment will be at Fairlawn Cemetery, Chickasha, OK.


Thelma “Rozella” Hargus

Graveside funeral service for Thelma “Rozella” Hargus (Bilyeu) will be at 10:00am, Thursday, September 9, 2021 at Celestial Gardens Cemetery in Cyril, OK.

Thelma “Rozella” Hargus (Bilyeu) was born February 26, 1951 in Cement, OK to FL (Nook) and Hazle Bilyeu.  She went home to be with her Lord and Savior on September 6, 2021 at the age of 70 on the same home place which she was born. She attended Cement Public Schools where she met the love of her life, Kenneth.  They had their first date on February 6, 1965 and were married on February 16, 1968 in Wichita Falls, TX.  Rozella gave birth to four children, Kimberly Coop (Hargus), Steven Kenneth, and twin sons Jason Kenneth and Jeffery Delbert.  Her three sons all passed shortly after birth.  Rozella worked in retail, owned and operated Pirate’s Cove in Cyril and Cyril Feed Store.  Fora time she was a full time homemaker then began a career in banking retiring from Liberty National Bank in 2018.  Rozella found great joy in the simple things in life.  She was always there to lend an ear or give advice.  Her greatest joy in life was caring for and spoiling her two grandchildren, Riley Wayne and Kelsey Makenna Coop.

Rozella loved her family dearly and leaves behind her husband of 53 years Kenneth of the home, her daughter Kimberly and fiancé Len Samples of Chickasha, grandson Riley Coop of Oklahoma City, granddaughter Kelsey Coop and her boyfriend Jerry Jones of Cyril, brother Walt Brown and wife Ruth of Cyril, sister Kathy Shelby and husband Jim of Duncan, sister Sherry Cobb of Cement, sister-in-law Rita Shepard and husband Bobby, brother-in-law John Hargus and wife Jackie, brother-in-law Mark Hargus and wife Donna all of Cement and numerous nieces and nephews.  

She is preceded in death by her parents Nook and Hazle Bilyeu, father-in-law and mother-in-law Deb and Ann Hargus, her son Steven, her twin sons Jason and Jeffery, her sister Virginia Self and brother Randell Bilyeu.

Verna Faye Myers

Graveside service for Verna Faye Myers, age 91, of Cement will be at 10:30 am on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at Celestial Gardens Cemetery at Cyril, OK.  Viewing will be 9am - 7pm Monday and Tuesday at McRay Funeral Home.

Verna Faye Myers was born August 14, 1930 near Verden, Oklahoma to Robert Otha and Eula Bell (Gilbreath) Stafford. She passed away on September 2, 2021 at her home near Cement, Oklahoma. Verna was the youngest of nine children and was raised near Stecker, Oklahoma and attended school at Stecker and was a graduate of Apache High School. Verna and Robert “Bob” Myers were married on December 19, 1948.  They enjoyed much of their 55 years of marriage on their farm near Cement where  Verna loved to help Bob with the farming and ranching activities. Verna was a dedicated wife and mother of three children.  She loved to garden, can fresh fruits and vegetables and was known for the delicious cakes and pies that she baked.   She was active in her children’s school activities as well as being a scout leader and school volunteer. Verna Faye was skilled in a variety of arts and crafts but had an amazing talent for flower arranging. She was a member of the Cement Garden Club where she served in many capacities.  She also held officer positions at the district and state levels of the Oklahoma Garden Clubs.  She loved flowers, birdwatching and spending time with her feline friends, Allie and Little One. Verna was an active member in the Cement United Methodist church and her faith in God was the foundation of her life. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, her husband, Bob, a grandson, Cody Myers, and son, Terry Myers.

Verna is survived by son Larry Myers and wife Judy of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, daughter, Laurie Stinnett and husband Chris of Chickasha, Oklahoma, daughter in law, Debbie Myers of Chickasha, 4 grandchildren Rhett Myers, Cammie Jeffries, Molly Bailey, Shane Seitz, 2 great grandchildren Caleigh Jeffries and Britton Bailey, and a host of friends and relatives.  Verna was blessed with many exceptional caregivers.  Verna spent her final days under the loving care of Lelia Evans, Julie Smith, Beth Curry, and Jessie Zepeda.

Terry Calvin Myers


Memorial service for Terry Calvin Myers, age 69, will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, September 3, 2021, in the McRay Funeral Home Chapel. 

Terry Calvin Myers of Chickasha passed on Tuesday, August 31, 2021.  The son of Robert & Verna Faye Myers, he was born in Anadarko on August 14, 1952.

Terry was a kind hearted man who enjoyed the outdoors & spending time with his family.  He loved traveling, camping, & fishing with his wife of 44 years, Deborah Myers.  He graduated from Cement High School & received a degree from Southwestern Oklahoma State University.  He then did his clinicals at Sparks Regional Medical Center in Fort Smith, Arkansas.  He was a medical technologist at Baptist Medical Center blood bank for 41 years.

Terry is survived by his wife, Deborah; daughter Cammie Jeffries & husband Randy, & granddaughter Caleigh; daughter Molly Bailey & grandson Britton; brother Larry Myers & wife Judy; sister Laurie Stinnett & husband Chris; & mother Verna Faye Myers.

Services and cremation are under the direction of McRay Funeral Home.
