Funeral service for George Allen Brinkman age 87 will be held at 2:00 p.m. on June 5, 2021 (Saturday) at McRay Funeral Home 110 S. 8th Street, Chickasha Oklahoma.

George was born February 1, 1934 in Yukon, Oklahoma.  In 1944 the family moved to Perry, Oklahoma.  In 1951 the family moved to Chickasha, Oklahoma where he lived the rest of his life until the last three years he was in Corn Heritage Village Nursing Home in Corn, Oklahoma where his life ended May 7, 2021.

George is preceded in death by his wife Barbara Caves Brinkman, father Hubert (Orville) Brinkman, mother Lorene Lucille Brinkman, sisters Virginia Lucille Berry and Dorothy (Carolyn) Gordon.  He is survived by his brother Louis Orville Brinkman and wife Betty.

After graduating from Friend High School in 1952, George worked at Tinker Air Force Base for four years.  For a short time he owned an auto repair shop.  After a few years working at several different jobs, he got into the trucking business, eventually developing his own company Cameo Carriers Trucking, which he owned and operated for the next forty plus years.

George was a good self-taught mechanic and could fix about anything.  Many people came to him over the years for advice.  George had a great love for antique and classic cars and trucks.  His greatest love was Cameo Carrier pickups of which he owned several over the years, along with many, many other cars and trucks.  Thus, the name Cameo Carriers for his trucking business.  George loved to go to swap meets and auctions looking for cars and trucks.  He also loved traveling with Barbara and other family.  He and Barbara also loved going dancing.

George was a mild mannered man and kind to everyone and was much loved by his many nieces, nephews and extended family.  He will be greatly missed.

Ronald Edwin Reynolds

Ronald Edwin Reynolds, age 72, was born November 7, 1948.  He died May 14, 2021.  He will be laid to rest privately at the Verden Cemetery under the direction of McRay Funeral Home.

Richard Lynn Singleton

Funeral service for Richard Lynn Singleton, age 76, will be held at 11:00 am on Friday May 7, 2021, at the Verden First Baptist Church in Verden, Oklahoma.

Richard Lynn Singleton was born in Pocasset Oklahoma on June 30, 1944 to Walter and Myrtle Singleton. Richard grew up working on the family farm cultivating cotton and raising livestock. He attended Verden Public Schools and was active in the schools FFA program as well as playing baseball and basketball, graduating from Verden High School in 1962. After graduating from Verden, Richard joined the Army National Guard and was a member of the Guard until 1966. He married his high school sweetheart, Nelda Blevins in 1964.

Richard and Nelda moved to the Edmond area in 1965, with Richard attending Oklahoma State University pursuing a degree in Accounting, passing the CPA exam on his first attempt. In 1970, Richard and the family moved to Mustang OK where they raised their 3 children. In 1971, Richard accepted a position as VP and Chief Financial Officer with Landmark Land, as one of the original employees, developing golf clubs such as Oak Tree Golf Club, Kiawah Island Ocean Course,, Palm Beach Polo & Country Club, and Carmel Valley Ranch. Richard moved with Landmark spending several years in Carmel, California. in 1982 Landmark acquired Oak Tree Savings Bank and Richard was transferred to New Orleans to oversee the financial operations of the company. As Chief Financial Officer of Landmark, Richard was an integral part of the building of a golf empire that employed in excess of 1,000 employees. Richard eventually retired from Landmark in 1991, returning to Oklahoma to spend time with his family.

Through all of his success, Richard’s focus and passion were his children, his grandchildren, his 1957 Chevy convertible, and OSU football. Richard has spent the last several years in Edmond, Oklahoma in the loving care of his ex-wife, Nelda, surrounded by his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Richard is preceded in death by his mother Myrtle, his father Walter, and his sister Reba. He is survived by his brothers Larry Singleton and wife Judy, Jack Bullard, brother-in-law Eddie Flood; his sisters Roberta Smith and husband Donnie and Rojena Bare; his 3 children, Tohnia Franks and husband Barry, Tim Singleton, and Tammy Hendren. He is also survived by 6 Grandchildren, Bryce, Brittanie, Brent and Brandon Hendren, MacKynzi and Kolton Franks as well as 6 Great Grandchildren, Easton, Spencer, Jason, Ellie, Hayden, and Timber.

Cremation will follow the funeral service.  Arrangements are under direction of McRay Funeral Home.

Kenneth Wayne Lehew

Graveside memorial service for Kenneth Wayne Lehew, age 86, will be May 15, 2021, Saturday, in the Fairlawn Cemetery at 10:30 am. 

Kenneth was born in Rush Springs, OK on July 3, 1934 to Earnest and Meada Lehew.  He died April 23, 2021 at his home.

Cremation arrangements and graveside service is under the direction of McRay Funeral Home.
